Technical hands-on training for the community radio stations

The Department of Information and Media is organizing a ten-day technical hands-on training for the community radio stations in Bhutan from May 27 – June 5, 2019 at the College of Science and Technology in Phuentsholing. Three participants each from Edi Community Radio Station in Gelephu, Lhop in Dorokha, Samtse, and KYD community Radio Station in Khothakpa, Pemagatshel, are attending the training. In addition, three participants from Jigme Namgyel Engineering College (JNEC) are also attending the training since JNEC is in the process of setting up their own campus radio station.

The training is conducted to provide the community radio stations the technical skills and knowledge they require to be able to function effectively and efficiently. The participants will also be trained on software tools to record, edit and mix audio signals, and preparing radio programs.

The training is funded by the Royal Government of Bhutan.
